You can record a custom greeting for your voicemail or use the default greeting for Google Voice. Record up to 10 voicemail greetings and select the one that you want callers to hear.

Record a new greeting

When you use the Google Voice app, you can record a greeting up to 3 minutes long. If you use Safari to record the greeting, it can only be one minute long. If you don't record a new greeting, callers hear the default greeting.

You can specify wether or not your unanswered calls will go to voicemail. To do that perform the following steps for each client.

On the web client and Desktop App:
1. Click on your user name and then click on Settings.
2. Navigate to Voicemail tab.
3. Switch the Voicemail slider to On (green).
4. Set the ringing duration of the Circuit call from the drop down menu. This timer will not affect the phone calls, only Circuit calls.
On the iOS mobile client:
1. Tap
  and then Settings > Voicemail.
2. Switch the Voicemail slider to On (green).
3. Tap active after to set the ringing duration of the Circuit call.
On the Android mobile client:
1. Tap the menu icon, and then Settings > Voicemail.
2. Switch the Voicemail slider to On (green).
3. Tap active after to set the ringing duration of the Circuit call.
  The minimum ringing duration is 5 seconds and the maximum is 30 seconds.
  
  This timer will not affect the phone calls, only Circuit calls.

The voicemail is activated and will apply to all Circuit calls.

If you have a telephony integration configured in Circuit, then the voicemail can be used for those calls too.

Note:

If you are using the Advanced Telephony Connector, the PBX has to be configured to route phone calls to Circuit voicemail.

2. Make a call.

Now that your phone has been activated, you’ll need to make at least one call before using your voicemail. That call can be to anyone, whether you catch up with an old friend, make your mom’s day with a chat, or just call your home’s landline.

3. Connect to voicemail.

This next step may be dependent on your specific phone. Some users with basic phones can start by finding the Phone icon on the main screen of their device. Tap it, and if necessary, open up the dial pad by tapping its icon. Once you do, press and hold the 1 key until you’re connected.

However, your best bet is to get specific instructions for your device. It’s easy – just navigate to voicemail setup on the Tracfone website. There, you can enter your device’s serial number. Not sure how to find it? One of these three easy ways should do the trick.

iPhone users can go to the Settings app, then scroll down to General. Tap on General, then About. Here, you can scroll down until you find your serial number.
For Android users, start by opening Settings. Scroll down to locate About Phone and tap it. Scroll again, and you should see your serial number. Please note that some Android phones display the serial number in another menu. Check out your user manual for phone-specific instructions if you don’t see it under the About Phone menu.
For non-smartphone users, the serial number may be found on the outside of the device. It’s even more likely you’ll find it by checking inside the battery cover. Oftentimes, the serial number is printed on the inside cover or behind the battery. However, if it’s not there, you can check your phone’s Settings menu, too.

After entering your serial number, type in your phone number and hit Continue to receive instructions on how to set up your voicemail service.

4. Follow the prompts.

Once your phone connects, simply follow the prompts to set up your voicemail. If for any reason you need to reset your password, just text PASSWORD to 611611∆.
