Who is shaw in person of interest

Special Counsel : You probably think I made a devil's bargain. And maybe I have. But the program is the reason we haven't had another major attack. If the public knew about what we do, we'd lose that ability.

Sameen Shaw : And Aquino?

Special Counsel : Again, a regrettable decision, but a necessary one. No one life is above the safety of millions of Americans. That's the ugly math that I have to deal with every day. You of all people should understand that.

Sameen Shaw : I do. And if I were in your place, I'd do the exact same thing. I may not be in the program anymore, but I - I still understand how important it is.

Special Counsel : Then why the cloak and dagger?

Sameen Shaw : [Pulls out a USB key]  Cole's research on the Aquino case. I wanted to give it to you personally.

Special Counsel : Why not give it to Wilson?

Sameen Shaw : You can't hire people like Cole and expect them to act like sheep. Now, I know how to follow orders. But Cole was just brilliant, and he believed in the cause. And Wilson knew that.

[to Wilson]

Sameen Shaw : You know, you could've warned him. Or even me. But instead, you placed a kill order like we were some kinda problem to be solved.

Wilson : Your partner broke the rules. You're on the hook for that as much as he was.

Sameen Shaw : And then you screwed that up in such a spectacular fashion. How could I trust this idiot with something so important?

Special Counsel : Hersh was right. You are a good soldier. You didn't want revenge. You wanted to protect the program.

Sameen Shaw : A good soldier does both.

[Shoots Wilson]

Sameen was an assassin for a government lead Special Council in which she dealt with the "relevant" numbers THE MACHINE put out. Now she is a member of the Finch team. A trademark of hers is the pleasure she has in shooting and beating up the bad guys.

Guest cast, played by Sarah Shahi

Sameen Shaw (played by Sarah Shahi) started out as a recurring character on Season 2 of Person of Interest, but had since managed to become a main character. As a result, it should come as no surprise to learn that she is rather popular with a fair number of the fandom. Something that has been helped by her moments of heroism as well as her moments of emotion suggesting that there is more to her character than what she shows on her surface.

Here are five of the best moments featuring Sameen Shaw from Person of Interest:

Shaw Hugs Genrika

Shaw’s issues with emotion is a huge part of her character, not least because it has had an enormous influence over the course that her life has taken. As a result, it was rather interesting that she was willing to hug Genrika in Episode 5 of Season 3. Granted, the hug was very awkward, which suggests a lack of familiarity that makes a fair amount of sense. However, the fact that she was willing to hug Genrika in spite of her issues with emotion said a great deal about who she was as a person. On top of that, the hug was a heartwarming moment, which can be a neat contrast to the general tone of Person of Interest.

Shaw’s Relationship with Bear

Dogs are our best friend. After all, they are the first animal to have been domesticated by us, with the result that they have since gone on to become our helpers, friends, and family members. This is something that extends to Shaw’s relationship with Bear, which can be summed up as Bear being her favorite part of the team. Likewise, her affection is reciprocated because it is clear that Bear misses her when she is not there. With that said, there might be no better sign of Shaw’s affection for Bear than the fact that she was willing to buy a metal studded collar for him, which is a particularly noticeable choice because of her issues with emotion.

Shaw Saves Fusco’s Son

At one point in time, Shaw was confronted with a dilemma. In short, she could help out either Fusco or Fusco’s son because she couldn’t provided assistance to both. Fortunately, Shaw understood that Fusco would have wanted her to save his son rather than him, which is why she went to his assistance. Something that she was very successful at. Better still, Fusco actually managed to save himself, meaning that the story had a happy ending in spite of its unhappy circumstances.

Shaw Saves the Team

With that said, the single most interesting expression of Shaw’s existent though seemingly diminished ability to feel emotions might be the end of Season 4, which is when the entire team is trapped on an elevator that won’t move until someone hits an override button. Surprisingly, Shaw showed her emotions by kissing Root before moving to press that particular button, which was very much a sacrificial move that she was not guaranteed to survive. Something that was particularly surprising considering the usual depictions of characters with issues feeling emotion in most media. Combined with earlier moments such as talking down a suicide bomber on a bus, the whole thing was very heroic and very tense. Fortunately, it turned out that Shaw managed to survive the season after all, meaning that the character could continue to have an important part to play in Person of interest‘s continuing interest instead of just being killed off.

Shaw Versus Martine

For a time, Shaw pretended to be a saleswoman at Bloomingdale’s. However, while she played her part well, it was made very, very clear that she was fully-prepared for trouble when it came knocking on her metaphorical door in the form of Martine Rousseau. As a result, instead of being thrust into the nightmare scenario of being caught flat-footed by a very dangerous opponent, Martine was able to fight back in an effective manner. Something that enabled her to escape the building instead of being brought down then and there.
