What is free will offering?

: a voluntary religious offering made in addition to what is required by a vow, tithe, or pledge she preached on shipboard and a freewill offering from the passengers enabled her to get back east— M. L. Bach.

Building on the sacrificial system described in Numbers 4 and 7, two passages in Numbers 15 and 18 describe the offering of the first produce of labor and the land to God. In addition to the offerings described earlier, the Israelites are to offer to God “the first fruits of all that is in their land” (Num. 18:13). Because God is the sovereign in possession of all things, the entire produce of the land and people actually belong to God already. When the people bring the firstfruits to the altar, they acknowledge God’s ownership of everything, not merely what is left over after they meet their own needs. By bringing the firstfruits before making use of the rest of the increase themselves, they express respect for God’s sovereignty, as well as the urgent hope that God will bless the continuing productivity of their labor and resources.

The offerings and sacrifices in Israel’s sacrificial system are different from the gifts and offerings we make today to God’s work, but the concept of giving our firstfruits to God is still applicable. By giving first to God, we acknowledge God to be the owner of everything we have. Therefore, we give him our first and best. In this way, offering our firstfruits becomes a blessing for us as it was for ancient Israel.

The Revelation of the First Fruits Offering

Jeremiah 29:13 – “When you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed.”

One day God challenged me... “Are you ready for Me to change your theology?” He began to take me through the Bible through the eyes of a Jewish Jesus, and the whole book became ALIVE in a way I had never seen it before. I began to understand things that I had questions about. One of those things was the 30, 60, 100-fold blessing that is mentioned both in Matt 13 & Mark 4.

For years many of us have been operating with a poverty mindset & living under a spirit of limitation because we haven’t had the knowledge/revelation that brings the FULLNESS of God’s blessing on our lives. We’ve been tithing & giving offerings and have seen SOME blessing, but haven’t seen the outpouring of abundance, financially.

Hosea 4:6 – My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

So, what if there was more to know & understand about tithes and offering?

The Truth alone cannot set you free, but it is the Truth that you KNOW and understand that brings freedom. “You shall KNOW the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.”

Ritual without Revelation has no Power, but when we have the ritual coupled with the revelation knowledge of the Holy Spirit there is POWER!

Everything God does has two sides, a physical side (earthly/ritual/OT) and a spiritual side (heavenly/revelation/NT). The Bible says that first it happens in the physical, then in the spiritual.

MALACHI 3:7-12

8 “Will a man rob God?

Yet you have robbed Me!

But you say,

‘In what way have we robbed You?’

In tithes and offerings.

9 You are cursed with a curse,

For you have robbed Me,

Even this whole nation.

10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,

That there may be food in My house,

And try Me now in this,”

Says the Lord of hosts,

“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven

And pour out for you such blessing

That there will not be room enough to receive it.

11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,

So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,

Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,”

Says the Lord of hosts;

12 “And all nations will call you blessed,

For you will be a delightful land,”

Says the Lord of hosts.

Acts 2:1-2 – Day ofPentecost when Holy Spirit was poured out, but this is NOT when it started. They were there because it was the anniversary of Shavuot – when God gave His word in Exodus 19 and to also bring the first fruits offering as commanded by the Law.

Deut. 16:16 – “Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord… and they shall not appear before the Lord empty-handed.”

Passover/Unleavened Bread, Pentecost & Tabernacles…These 3 APPOINTED TIMES of the year that God has given us to bring in the First Fruit offerings that bring in the 100-fold blessing.

They are appointments that He has made to reconnect us to Him and the blessing, not to get something FROM us, but to get something TO us!

They are SPECIFIC times that bring about a SPECIFIC outcome.

They’re the 3 different windows/portals (yeshod) that “pass over us” at these seasons.

Each season has a different window and each window produces a different blessing.

IF WE MISS IT, IT WON’T COME AROUND AGAIN FOR ANOTHER YEAR. Each first fruit offering can only be brought within its specific “window”. According to Num 9, we see there is a Second Passover/Pesach Sheni (explain 30-day grace period/yeshod).

If we bring in ONE first fruits offering = 30-fold return.

TWO offerings = 60-fold.

ALL THREE = NOT 90-fold, but 100-fold blessing, which means it is unlimited!

Passover/UB à Leviticus 23:13 – Its grain offering shall be (This offering goes to the Priests...food in My house.)

Shavuot/Pent à Leviticus 23:17 - You shall bring from your dwellings two wave loaves of (This offering goes to the Temple/maintenance of building/building fund.) (Tabernacles first fruits offering goes to help the poor.)

The Shavuot first fruits is a DOUBLE first fruits because 2 loaves of bread are made with a double tithe. It’s when God brings a double blessing on our finances!

Double first fruits = When we join…

Loaf 1= Israel/Jew Loaf 2 = Church/Gentile

Shavuot Pentecost

God gave Torah God poured out Holy Spirit

Ritual Revelation

These not only connect us to the promises in the covenant, but connect us to the promises of what’s to come!

This SECOND First fruits offering releases the blessing for 3 things:

1) Prosperity – we cannot get to the 100-fold blessing unless we enter into the beginning of our “financial year”. This is the appointed time (window) when God cancels debts (breaks the curse that is on our finances), removes the barriers that are blocking our blessings, and releases the FULLNESS of the blessing of prosperity and anointing. WEALTH is not just about money, but also about power & influence to change the world.

2) Wisdom – to understand God’s plan for your life. He will also give you POWER to create wealth. This is the time when God DIVORCES US FROM OUR PAST FAILURES and marries us to a COVENANT OF BLESSING.

3) Anointing – we need the anointing to operate in God’s plan for our lives and to break the yoke of financial failure.

How much is the Tithe? First fruits offering?

Leviticus 23:10 & 13 – Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you enter the land which I am going to give to you and THIS IS THE TITHE! (weekly, bi-weekly)

*vs. 13 - Its grain offering shall then be two-tenths (two tithes) of an ephah (ephah = 5 gallons; 2 tenths (1/5) = 1 gallon) of fine flour mixed with oil (anointing), an offering by fire to the LORD for a soothing aroma (an acceptable offering), with its drink offering, a fourth of a hin (about 5 quarts) of wine (joy).

Leviticus 23:17 – 'You shall bring in from your dwelling places (Leaven here isn’t SIN but something that brings increase…JOY/CHEERFUL GIVER!)

First fruits offering = 2 tenths, or 2 tithes. How can we apply this today?

You would bring your regular tithe, THEN you bring your DOUBLE TITHE because it is an OFFERING, which is separate from the regular tithe; it is an offering in the amount of 2 of your tithes in addition to your regular tithe.)

UNDERSTAND THAT TODAY WE ARE NOT BOUND TO THIS AMOUNT, NOR ARE WE LIMITED.

You would BRING YOUR BEST, no matter the amount, because we aren’t operating in legalism to the ritual, but in obedience to “the ritual with revelation!”

WHENEVER YOU bring tithes & offerings, God will bless you & give back to you. You can be blessed ANY DAY of the year. HOWEVER…

Just like we can see the sun any day of the year, yet during the summer season, the sun is closer to us than in the winter, God is closer to us at these appointed times.

And because we haven’t had the understanding of THESE windows (portals) of opportunity, we have missed THESE APPOINTED TIMES that God Himself has chosen for us to receive the 100-fold blessing. Just like Blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10:46-52 he would’ve missed his opportunity because Jesus never went that way again. Once the window passes us up, it doesn’t come around again until next year!

Right now we are in a Double Jubilee, so 2 of this year’s First fruits Offerings are a DOUBLE-DOUBLE blessing.

DOUBLE JUBILEE – 2 Hebrew calendars, Physical begins on Rosh Hashanah, fall/birthday of creation. Spiritual begins in the Spring, 2 weeks before Passover.

Because it is the 50th anniversary of Israel’s liberation in 1967, these two calendars are overlapping the Jubilee year from Passover to Rosh Hashanah. But right now we are also in the time of the counting of the Omer, which is 50 days, another type of Jubilee, so spiritually we are in a TRIPLE JUBILEE, which represents our blessings are unlimited!

Proverb 3:9 – Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the first fruits of all your increase; so that

As you bring your First Fruits offering during this next month, Pastors Ken and Lisa will release a DOUBLE-DOUBLE BLESSING of wisdom, anointing and prosperity.

Deut. 28:1-9 TLV

If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. 2 All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:3 You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.4 The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.5 Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

7 The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.9 The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.

(At this time Eric will come up, release the Priestly Blessing over us and seal it with the sound of the Shofar.)

Numbers 6:22-27 NKJV

22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;

25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.”’

27 “So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”
