Sure, everyone has a French Dip Recipe, but I am warning you, after trying this recipe you may never use that one again. If you are like me and love the flavor of french onion soup, you are going to love this sandwich. Honestly, growing up, I wasn’t much of a sandwich girl. I was one of those kids that took a thermos of soup to school in my Snoopy lunch box. Yea, I was that kid. But when I met this sandwich, it changed my view of sandwiches. Not to mention my crockpot. How to Make French Dips in the Crock PotI can’t wait for you to try this delicious recipe! I’ve been making this slow cooker recipe for years because all you do is dump everything in the CrockPot and walk away! Place Roast in Crock PotFirst, place the roast in the Crock-Pot. Cover with onion soup, minced garlic, and sliced onions. If you’re using mushrooms, then this is where you will add them. Next, pour the soy sauce and water over the top of the beef. Cover and CookCover the pot and slow cook on low all day. The meat will literally fall apart, and the Au Jus it makes is fantastic!
Next, remove the meat from the slow cooker and shred it. Return back to the slow cooker. Toast and AssembleToast the hoagie rolls in the oven for three minutes. Place a slice or two of cheese on each hoagie rolls and top with meat. Serve the sandwich with the homemade au jus on the side. LOVE IT?
