As a survival sandbox game, coordinates in Minecraft Bedrock Edition play a vital role in exploration and keeping the character alive. By knowing how to see coordinates, players can get more precise information for loot, farming any specific mineral, mob, or other similar things.

In this Minecraft Bedrock Edition guide, we talk about how you can enable and see coordinates.

In Minecraft Bedrock Edition, you can view coordinates in the box located in the top left corner of the game screen. You’ll need to have the “Show Coordinates” option turned on, or you can manually set the /gamerule showcoordinates as true.

Coordinates in Minecraft Bedrock Edition make you aware of the Latitude, Longitude, and Elevation of a block or location. It comes in handy for marking a farming location or any other key point.

  • The x-axis indicates the player’s distance east (positive) or west (negative) of the origin point—the longitude.
  • The z-axis indicates the player’s distance south (positive) or north (negative) of the origin point—the latitude.
  • The y-axis indicates how high or low (from 0 to 255, with 63 being sea level) the player is—the elevation.
  • The unit length of the three axes equals the side of one block.

That’s it for now. While you are here, check out our other Minecraft guides.

  • How do I see what my coordinates are without mods in Minecraft PE?

As of Minecraft PE 16.0, commands are available. You can find current coordinates with the teleport command (/tp). Why Do Coordinates Not Show Up In Minecraft?

Because of the various interface and feature updates and changes, it might get confusing for you to figure out the technicalities when it comes to the Windows 10 version of Minecraft. If you are someone trying to figure out how to see the coordinates in Minecraft in Windows 10, this article might come in handy for you

How To Make Coordinates Visible In Minecraft In Windows 10?

Method 1
Many manuals say that the coordinates can be made visible by pressing the F3 key, but this generally does not work because when you press the F3 key, the volume pane pops up. In order to make the F3 key work, press it along with the Fn key.

Press Fn + F3 shortcut keys to make the game details visible on the left-hand side of your screen. From the details, you can find the block to check the coordinates, and the middle number is where you are at that point in time. That is how you can find the coordinates from these two shortcut keys.

Method 2
Start the game and click on ‘Play’. Now you can create a new world and name it whatever you like. After naming your world, scroll down in the same pane to find a customizable list titled ‘World Options’. In there, you will find the item ‘Show coordinates’; you can press it or turn it on to make the coordinates visible.

Method 3
Start the game and enter the gaming interface. Once you are in there playing, type the following command through your keyboard: –

/gamerule showcoordinates true

After typing this command, press enter. You will now be able to see the position you are in, in a coordinate form on the top left corner of your screen.

Another command you can use to make the coordinates visible on the screen is /spawnpoint. You can type this command and hit enter. Upon doing this, you will be able to see all the game details on the screen. You can scroll down to find the detail that specifies the coordinates you stand on.

If somehow the above-mentioned methods do not work for you, you might want to install the coordinate package and make it run in your game to see the coordinates while you play.

To do it, follow the steps mentioned below.

Method 4
Steps:

Open the game and make sure it remains open throughout the process. Go to your Google browser and search mcpedl.com; you can get stuff like add- ons here. In the search bar in the pane on the right, type ‘coordinates’ and hit enter. The first one that pops up should be ‘Coordinates Unlocker Addon’ click on that. On the page that opens, scroll down to the bottom, and you will find a link called “Download Resources.McPack”. Click on it, and you will be directed to another window.

This window is most likely to have an ad when it opens; make sure you do not download the product of that ad and instead skip the ad to go to the page that contains the actual download link. Once on the right page, download ‘Coordinates Unlocker 1.3’. When it gets downloaded, you will see a window showing the location where it got downloaded. In that window, double click on ‘CoordinatesUnlocker 1.3’. Make sure your Minecraft game is open throughout this process; on double-clicking on it, you will be redirected to the game homepage and a message saying “Started importing resource pack ‘Coordinates Unlocker” will pop up.

On completing the import process, another message saying “Successfully imported ‘Coordinates Unlocker” will pop up. Now before doing anything else, Exit out of Minecraft and then open it back up.

Now go to the game’s settings and choose ‘Global Resources’ under the ‘General’ tab from the pane on the left. Now you want to add coordinates in all of your worlds, so click on it and just add. Doing this would apply the coordinates unlocker into any world you play in anytime; therefore, you won’t have to apply the resource pack to each world individually.

After being done abiding by all the steps mentioned above, when you start playing, you will be able to see the coordinates at the bottom right-hand side of the screen.

This article dealt with the various methods that a hardcore gamer can try out to make the coordinates visible on screen while playing Minecraft Windows 10 addition. At Least one out of all the above-mentioned methods would work for you.
