Why is black ops 2 still 60 dollars

Haven't bought a COD in years..
Was planning to get Ghosts but I hear that game is a piss-poor port.

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate:Core Fighters - Free-to-play online and offline!
We want DOA5U/Tekken Tag 2/SoulCalibur V for PC!

They figure if you like terrible things you're probably stupid thus you'll pay more.

Wait, what? I heard about the Netflix thing but how does the music thing work? You get partial songs or what? - Fade2Scrub420

Keep in mind Blops 2 doesn't have a server browser like the original - but on the other hand, the original isn't as busy, and a lot of what's left is stupid crouch-only servers and the like.IMO if you want to get a CoD game, either get CoD4 (I hear it's still fairly active, haven't checked myself though) or get Blops 2 on a console (if you have one).

This is coming from somebody with over 500 hours into Blops and over 300 in Blops 2 (PC versions).

Black Ops 2 sucks on consoles, the PC version craps on the console version by a huge margin.

Until you see a huge set of the same people playing almost every time you log on. That shouldn't really happen with matchmaking and no server browser. What's worse, when you do get connected, you usually get people from around the globe with high pings because they can't find anybody else to play with - which sucks with the lag comp in place. It wasn't as big of a problem until recently when a lot of people shifted to Ghosts.

There's just not nearly as many people playing on PC as on consoles.

I bought the WiiU version and I wish the WiiU had as much players as the PC version, anyways I just play TDM and its really easy to find people on that mode.

I play CoD4 from time to time.I still get a lot of full games with people and not bots. Of course it's usually from people outside the US.

As long as you don't mind that. You can play it.

Because Activision likes their games at high prices. In fact none of the COD games, even the classic ones, has ever been 75% off or more on Steam before

This, you should've seen their last publisher sale, it was an absolute joke. MW3 and BO2 had separate days for their deeper discount instead of a series discount on one day like everyone else does, and the rest of the series got no further discounts.

I think you are posting the complaint on the wrong forums. If anyone were to listen, or even take notice of your complaint

you would need to post on the COD forums, or the publisher. It's the publisher keeping the price high, not the various on line retailers.

But yes all of the COD games, have been kept at a higher cost than most games. Even the rare lowest "sale" prices, are relatively high,

but you should be able to get COD-BOps 2 from one of the online game retailers for $40 or less when on sale.

I expect they keep the COD games prices because they are maintaining a strong on line following, and perhaps they aren't worried

about volume and are still finding enough people foolish enough to pay a higher price for COD games ?

About the only time a COD game newer than World at War goes for a decent price here in Oz is when a particular COD game without

a good single player mode, no longer has a large enough on line fan base to make the on line mode viable, and that mostly only happens

at the shop front game store (EB Games aka - Gamestop in the US). My last COD game was COD-Black Ops 1 .

Actually, the whole game pricing thing has become a bit suspect over the past ten years or so. Older games that should be down to $10\15\20-

are artificially jacked up to make the so called 50\60\70 % 'off' sale prices look like a bargain, so it's best to cruse a few different sites regularly

and only buy older games when on sale.

My favorite sites are ...

Epic Games | Store (I've picked up two dozen good titles, and remasters of some games I already had from EPIC from their weekly Free offers

since EPIC store was launched.)

The Humble Store: Great games. Fantastic prices. Support charity. (Steam keys often at the best price)

http://www.gog.com/ ( best site for retro games)

Buy PC Games | Games For PC | Game Keys (occasionally have the best price going)

Welcome to Steam (too obvious)

And, nope! I didn't forget the dread MS Store - GFWL mk2. I avoid them like the plague (in part because you cannot mod or backup the games)
