Despite how things seemed in the last episode, Vincent did not betray Norman. Rather, he only pretended to in order to manipulate Peter so that when Norman’s plan was executed, Peter would think he had an advantage.

However, the truth is, Norman’s associates pretty much destroy all the demons placed amongst the walls of the farms, as Peter preps the kids to be shipped out. This only makes things easier for Emma, who, using wells and the blueprints given, is able to get a message to Phil, among others, so that the mothers can be trapped once Vincent gets access to the terminal and the kids can join Emma at the gate.

Phil and Emma smiling, after being reunited

A plan that works rather marvelously until it is time to flip the switch and head to the human world.

Now, when it comes to escaping, there are multiple scenarios, one after another, which makes it seem freedom isn’t happening. The first is Peter, the Gatekeeper, showing up, with all the mothers, and it appearing the fight is over. But then, with Isabella betraying Peter, so comes hope. Especially after the bombs implanted in the mothers being made useless by Vincent, though not on purpose.

But then comes the issue of demon reinforcements on their way, but then we learn Vylk is damn near leading an army of demons, with Mujika’s blood, to overthrow the demon lords and the system. Leaving Emma, always wanting everyone to live and be happy, offering Peter the chance to live in this new world than die in the old one. Which Isabella isn’t necessarily for, as Peter has shown himself as incorrigible, but you know Emma has to at least try.

Emma giving Peter Ratri the chance to join the world she envisions than potentially die in the one he has tried to preserve

This season has shown, just as things seem at their worst, or deadly, for the Grace Field escapees, something or someone saves them. Yet, with one twist after another, there was this thought that maybe Emma and company, their luck ran out. Which was quite exciting and made you wonder, as Peter kept seeming to have the upper hand and the demons he works with, would this mean prolonging an escape and us really getting to know how things work with the gatekeepers?

But, alas, that isn’t the case. Instead, what we get to see is the demons and Peter made fools of and defeated. Which, with not much in the way of a build-up when it comes to Peter or the no-name demons he has been working with, as much as we loved the twists and turns, this didn’t feel like that much of a victory.

Take note, we get the ability to escape has been a long time coming, but, unlike season 1, it rarely, if ever, felt like Emma, Ray, Norman, or anyone else’s life was in danger. They might end up in uncomfortable situations, but, more often than not, despite their age, and lack of advanced defenses or weaponry, they overcame the situation.

Case in point, with just blueprints and a hackable system, they took down demons three times their size, somehow had the strength to tie them up and overran a system that has been in place for 1000 years. Which, for us, made it seem less that Emma and company were capable and more that the bar was lowered so much to make this possible.

My TPN Atlantis theory seems to have made waves in the fandom, but I am back again to stir it up EVEN MORE. (haha, bad puns are the best)

Before you proceed note 2 things:

1)HEAVY manga SPOILERS for anime only fans

2) This theory contains material that WILL POTENTIALLY SPOIL MAJOR UPCOMING PLOT even if you are up to date on the manga

If you want to be surprised in the manga by which main character will die, what the golden water is or how the kids can get to the human world, and how the demon world was created, then don’t read this.

Ok, I am sure that at least 99% of you have by now made the connection that the NEVERLAND in TPN references Peter Pan’s Neverland, since you know, the kids never grow up (for different reasons though).

Some of you I know have also noticed that PETER Ratri’s first name matches Peter PAN’s, and that his brother’s JAMES Ratri matches Captain James HOOK.

Those of you who are more familiar with Peter Pan may have also noticed that James Ratri’s’ surviving supporter who helped Norman was Smee. SMEE is also Captain Hook’s crew member.

But the references end there, right?

WRONG

ON SO MANY LEVELS

Once you dig deeper than just the surface (nice reference to my Atlantis theory, heh) you notice:

THE WHOLE FRIGGIN CAST OF PETER PAN IS REFERENCED IN THE CHARACTERS…

AS WELL AS MAJOR PLOT POINTS!!!!!!!!

I have made my outlandish claims, but if you want undeniable proof, look at my reblogs to this post.

Note: if you want to reblog to share, reblog this first post only, so you don’t end up with a huge post to scroll across on your dash!

THIS NOTE IS HERE UNTIL I FINISH ADDING REBLOGS, PLEASE TRY TO WAIT UNTIL I FINISH POSTING, SORRY IT WILL TAKE A COUPLE MINUTES, THERE IS A LOT OF MATERIAL!

couldnt-think-of-a-better-name

First off: this post wouldn’t have been possible without @vobomon .

TPN doesn’t reference the Disney movie (much), it mostly draws on the original source material, which was a play (1904) and later adapted into novels (1911 and others) by J.M.Barrie.

I have only ever seen the Disney movie as a child, so my knowledge of the topic was very limited. It was @vobomon who highlighted some references to me which got me wondering if there was more….

AND WHAT I FOUND (once I scrutinised the wikipedia material available) LEFT ME SPEECHLESS

Why?

Haha, okay, how about we play a little thought experiment? Remember this?

The children survive in the demon world thanks to realizing how an adventure book from William Minerva had the SAME SITUATIONS they are encountering. Wouldn’t it be neat if there was also a GUIDE BOOK to TPN we could use to predict and understand what’s going on?

Hahaha, what a funny thing to say that! TPN has such an original story, where could we find a book with any similarities?

OH RIGHT. PETER PAN.

Now, I know I was just teasing you, so please read the next reblog for ACTUAL PROOF.

couldnt-think-of-a-better-name

Isn’t it neat how Peter Pan’s and Captain Hook’s roles are MIRRORED in TPN? James is our hero and Peter our villain.

We have Smee from James’ crew, but do we have any of Peter’s lost boys? Welp, none is called anything like Tootles, Curly, Slightly, Nibs or Twins in the series! But maybe it’s not just straight up the name?

Oh, and before we forget, our Peter Ratri is all grown up, so maybe we should also look at the official book sequel with the grown up versions of them?

(This was published in 2006 and is called the Peter Pan in Scarlet, but not many people know about it).

And in Peter Pan in Scarlet:

Hmmmm… a baronet? Didn’t we have among our villains someone called BAYON? Who was also a conceited noble… Hahaha, what a crazy coincidence!

Oooh, but we didn’t have any twins in the series… and no one finished each other sentences… oh wait a moment! I think there were too slightly similar characters who kinda even “became one person”

Another WILD coincidence, RIGHT!? (also damn, I had to redo this reblog cause stupid tumblr flagged this)

And in Peter Pan in Scarlet:

The most troublesome and whippety thin… ? Who could that possibly… OH

couldnt-think-of-a-better-name

Ok, please note that these things were written back in 1904, so the definitions are a bit different to modern ones, and gay means in its dated form

whereas

Hmmm could that also be someone we know? Someone who is overly happy and carefree to hunt children, and wears “fashionable” things?

There is one more Lost boy left and we have ran out of demons…

Someone who is unlucky, and misses all the action? Don’t we have a villain who keeps missing our heroes, then gets eaten by a demon at random?

couldnt-think-of-a-better-name

Hm, so if we have all those lost boys, are any of our main heroes referenced to Peter Pan?

So how does Peter Pan start again?

PETER Pan LEAVES behind his SHADOW inside WENDY’s HOME. Wendy becomes aware of what happened due to her DOG BARKING. Wendy returns the shadow when PETER Pan and TINKERBELL comes back, and she eventually sews the shadow back properly after Peter’s failed attempt at reattaching it.

Huh, so what’s my point? So how about I introduce the characters a bit.

Wendy likes to be motherly and compassionate like Emma, yet she is also keen on adventures. They are both protagonists… but what about the rest of the trio?

Peter Pan’s shadow is meant to be identical to him, yet when they are separated, the shadow seems to live a life of its own, constantly causing trouble for Peter Pan until it’s reattached.

Well, do you remember my theory about Norman being a Ratri clone? Isn’t that kinda like the shadow analogy? I was actually thinking that Norman is a lot more likely Peter’s clone than James’ since the authors are trying to make us think real hard that he looks just like James, which seems exactly like the misdirection they usually do when they want to divert our attention from the truth!

More recently it looks like Norman is even pretending to be James Ratri, and perhaps he thinks he is James’ clone if the data at Lambda wasn’t clear on who they cloned. It would be a cruel reveal even for him to find out that he is actually Peter’s clone!

Actually the newest chapter 125, had 2 huge clues that Norman is a Ratri clone. One of it was him suggesting to the demon that he knows that with Ratri technology he can clone limitless cattle from even a strand of hair, the other that he offered up the Ratri family to the demon as if he had some personal claim to the Ratris, and the demon even suggested that Norman has a personal vendetta against them…

Okay, but let’s get back on track! So Emma could be Wendy and Norman Peter Pan’s shadow, so Ray?

Wendy BECOMES AWARE of something being out of the ordinary when her DOG BARKS. Hhhmmm didn’t Ray call himself a shepherd’s dog?! Even Isabella called him a GOOD DOG.

In Barrie’s original play the family dog is a Newfoundland, originally a FISHERMAN’S DOG. OH AND LOOK THEY ARE TRADITIONALLY BLACK AND SOOO FLUFFY.

couldnt-think-of-a-better-name

But what about Isabella? If only we had someone with a similar name… e.g. TinkerBELL(A)!? After all Norman is returned to Peter with Isabella, who is on Peter’s side!!! Also, just look at those hairbuns and the personality of Tinkerbell. POSUKA EVEN PUT IN A MOTHERFLIPPING BELL!

So we still have quite a few characters in Peter Pan… like… Wendy’s brother, JOHN… Can you pronounce that for me? Now also do DON. John was also younger than Wendy…

But the youngest brother was MICHAEL.

OH, WHAT ABOUT PHIL (from PInaFores)? He has very similar skin and hair tone to Don as well… They are both the CUTEST.

(Did you know that Michael is not in the Peter Pan in Scarlet sequel… because he DIED in the WAR… OH SH#T A WAR JUST STARTED IN THE MANGA… and after Norman’s resolution not to let any cattlechild get hurt… if Phil were to… NOOOO NOT PHIL NOOOOOOOO)

Wendy’s family also had a maid, LIZA…

HUH ISN’T GILDA ALSO 10-YEAR-OLD? With a small stature and small eyes, but a prim and proper personality?

couldnt-think-of-a-better-name

Did you know that the writer Barrie had 2 dogs? He based his play on his newfoundland dog, but later some adaptations got confused and used his ST BERNARD dog as model for the dog NANA. Hmm, if you rearrange those letters, don’t you get ANNA?! Also, look at the Disney movie where Nana even gave MEDICINE to the CHILDREN!!! Wasn’t there a recent arc of Anna getting medicine?!?!?!

(Also; lol is Ray and Anna being both dog references a ship foreshadow?)

There are no more kids in Wendy’s family, but the name of WENDY was invented by Barrie, who based it on his childhood friend Margaret, who couldn’t pronounce “r” properly, and was extremly cute, clumsily calling Barrie his fwendy-wendy. OH AND SHE DIED AT 6 YEARS OLD.

Wendy also had a father who was kinda scary and shouty, but was kind on the inside…

(HUUUUUUUUUH YUUGO EVEN HAS THE EXACT SAME POSITION AS GEORGE ON THE GIF WHEN SHOUTING)

On the other hand, Mrs. Darling was kind and intelligent…

couldnt-think-of-a-better-name

Peter Pan also had some characters whose portrayal were controversial later, and were called RACIST… TIGER LILY

(Huh, I wonder if this explains Krone’s racist portrayal?! Also her jealousy of Isabella is just like Tiger Lily vs Tinkerbell…)

There are not a lot of characters left, but Captain Hook also had a first mate who survived the massacre of Peter Pan (btw Peter Ratri did the exact SAME)

Isn’t VINCENT kinda refined like a gentleman and acts also sorta like an usher, plus he does also literally baby-sit Barbara and Cislo who act a bit like rude savages?!

Did you know that in one of the later works we learn that Tiger Lily has another name? Aaya?

And her brother is called HARD-TO-HIT?

Hmmm I wonder if based on that cover CISLO might have some jumping around power that makes him HARD TO HIT?

Oh, btw the chief of the tribe is GREAT BIG LITTLE PANTHER.

But why don’t we look at something little and adorable on someone pretty big and powerful:
