What is paris in love

Simple life, extravagant wedding?

Peacock announced Wednesday that it has handed a series order to Paris in Love (working title), a 13-part docuseries that will follow entrepreneur/activist/DJ Paris Hilton as she prepares to “walk down the aisle with the man of her dreams, venture capitalist Carter Reum,” culminating in the big day itself. “From bridal dress shopping and choosing the venue, to designing her dream destination wedding and participating in what certainly will be a fun and crazy bachelorette party, viewers will be along for an entertaining and emotional ride and will witness a personal side of Paris that only her closest friends and family get to see,” according to the official logline.

Of course, Hilton is no stranger to reality television. She co-starred opposite Nicole Richie on The Simple Life, which aired for a combined five seasons on Fox and E!, between 2003 and 2007. In 2020, she was the subject of the YouTube original documentary This Is Paris, which has received nearly 22 million views to date.

In addition to Paris in Love, the fledgling streamer has greenlit two more alternative series: First up is True Story, a six-episode hybrid series in which “everyday Americans sit down with Ed Helms and Randall Park to share their most extraordinary and unbelievably true stories for the first time. As the stories unfold, events are humorously brought to life by a star-studded cast of comedians and actors in heightened, dramatized re-enactments of cinematic proportions.”

Also on tap is The Siwa Dance Pop Revolution (working title), “which will follow momager Jessalynn Siwa and her pop superstar daughter JoJo Siwa as they create and launch a brand new group that will become pop music’s next big sensation.”

Peacock’s unscripted slate also includes the recently announced Unidentified With Demi Lovato (in which Lovato tries to prove the existence of aliens), The End Is Nye (from executive producer Seth MacFarlane and hosted by Bill Nye) and Frogger (a new game show based on the classic arcade game). Premiere dates have not yet been announced.

Paris Hilton is a multi-hyphenate, from personality, DJ to perfume mogul and fine artist, and now, she has added one more title to her long list of accomplishments: Wife. As if planning a wedding isn’t enough stress, she spun a reality show out of the experience, too, from dealing with her ‘groomzilla,’ venture capitalist Carter Reum, to picking out 10 dresses to wear over her wedding weekend and dealing with family politics along the way.

Paris in Love is a 13-part docuseries follows The Simple Life’s star to the altar, every step of the way—from bridal dress shopping to bachelorette party in Las Vegas, and more. It’s not your average reality series, as it reveals the real Hilton that we caught a glimpse of in her 2020 documentary, This is Paris.

Ahead of the two-part season finale of the Peacock series on January 27, she speaks to Forbes about her style evolution and bringing fashion into Roblox.

How did you decide on your wedding dress by Oscar De La Renta and party outfits for your wedding?

Paris Hilton: I’m friends with Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, designers at Oscar De La Renta. I just wanted something that was timeless, elegant and chic. I’m just really inspired by Princess Grace Kelly. I knew Oscar De La Renta was the perfect choice. But I also love outfit changes, so I did have about 10 different looks throughout the three-day wedding.

What helped define your style evolution throughout the years, from pink rhinestones to Juicy Couture tracksuits? What has been the driving force behind your fashion taste?

For me, when I first started in the industry, I didn’t even have a stylist. Those were all my own looks people are recreating. People being inspired by it is really awesome. My looks have definitely changed. I used to be more like a raver Barbie, now I’m a wife. It’s a bit more sophisticated and elegant.

You’ve created NFTs, with your next one dropping January 25 with Superplastic. In Roblox, you have Paris World, where you sell clothing, too, how do you feel luxury fashion brands are evolving by proving themselves in the metaverse?

It’s so exciting, I love digital wearables. It’s exciting to see all the big brands coming in—in Paris World, I was buying the whole new Gucci collection. I feel like, with an avatar, you want it representing you. Whatever you wear in real life, in the metaverse, you’re going to be spending a lot of time there, why wouldn’t you want to look fashionable in there, as well?

Where is the opportunity?

I think it’s a huge opportunity for brands to come in and raise awareness about their products, or even just have their products in the digital world, the metaverse.

What was the most surprising part about Paris In Love?

A lot of surprises happened, and the wedding episode is so magical. It has Demi Lovato singing the iconic Whitney Houston song, I Will Always Love You, and Kim Petras singing Stars are Blind as I was about to walk down the aisle. There are so many moments that makes me excited that I get to share it with the world.

What advice do you have for young women entrepreneurs today who want to build their own empire like yourself?

My advice is just to find something you love and are passionate about. Find the right team of people who you can trust to help make your dreams come true. And just working hard. Its all about having that hard work ethic and putting your all into it. I feel that if you really put your mind to something and work hard enough, that anything’s possible. And also that girls rule the world, so. Keep that in mind, ladies.

Paris in Love is streaming now on Peacock. The two-part wedding finale will air on Thursday, January 27. Watch Paris in Love also on E!, premiering Wednesday, February 2 at 10 p.m.

E! is walking down the aisle with Paris Hilton

The socialite's journey to the altar recently played out on her Peacock docu-series Paris in Love, but now, the 13-part show is coming to E!.

Premiering tomorrow, Feb. 2 at 10 p.m. immediately after a brand-new episode of Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules, the first episode of Paris in Love dives straight into the madness that is wedding planning. Expect to see not only Paris, but her husband-to-be Carter Reum and her mom Kathy Hilton, who previously told E! News that Carter may or may not be a bit of a "groom-zilla."

"I'm in it a lot more than I planned on being in it," Kathy joked of the reality TV show back in November on E! News' Daily Pop. "I thought I would be doing very little. I thought you'd see me taking her to register, taking her to get her wedding gown, normal things. This has been a full-time job. I'm almost in it as much as she is."

However, based on what we've already seen of Paris' wedding, it was all worth it in the end! The "Stars Are Blind" singer threw a three-day celebration, complete with several bridal looks, star-studded guest lists and all of the lavish touches you can dream up.

Most important of all, Paris finally said "I do" to the love of her life.

"He is just everything to me," Paris exclusively told E! News earlier this week, adding that she "couldn't be happier."

Watch her journey to the altar beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 2 when Paris in Love premieres on E!.
