I tried a Wix and it hit on the boss before the gasket would tighten up. There is a thread that lists all the different filters that will screw on. I ended up going with a Mobil 1 M1-110 filter as it was deep enough to clear the nut and allow the gasket to seal tight. It is about the same price as the Yamaha filter, but has almost 3 times the
