Q: Why does my Samsung phone Keep say no internet connection?

Restart your device. If restarting doesnt work, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data: Open your Settings app and tap Network & internet or Connections. Depending on your device, these options may be different. Turn Wi-Fi off and mobile data on, and check if theres a difference.

@Matija_Oblak: To troubleshoot this issue please head to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Tap the cog symbol to the right of your router > Forget > Back > Toggle Wi-Fi off and on again > Select your router from the list of available connections, and run through the connection steps. Now, go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Tap the cog next to your router > Advanced > MAC Address Type, and set this to Phone MAC. If the issue persists, please try pressing the Volume Down and Power buttons together for around 10 seconds until the phone restarts, as this will refresh the software and address any issues that might be a contributing factor. I'd also recommend resetting your router to ensure that there are no temporary network issues.

If you are still unable to connect then please head to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings. You may also wish to try Settings > Location > Google Location Accuracy > Off, to see if this helps.

I have an S21+ 5G running Version 12 with the latest updates through AT&T Prepaid. I'm having the weirdest issue, and don't know what broke.
My WiFi seems to be on the fritz. When I'm on mobile data, everything seems okay. When I connect to any wifi source, it usually connects, but the only time I can get internet access is when the icon indicates I don't have connectivity (ie, the WiFi has the exclamation next to it). As soon as the exclamation goes away, so too does my internet. I've restarted my phone, forgotten all network connections including Bluetooth, rebooted my home network, no luck.
I've even delved deeper into the software on my phone and turned on Dev mode. Through that, I've turned on WiFi safe mode, WiFi scan throttling, and Enhanced WiFi MAC randomization, with no changes.
I thought at first that it was due to being a Beta tester for an app, but even after I left the Beta, it still doesn't work. I've verified through my network that I have a valid IP address. I'm stumped.
I don't want to have to factory reset my phone, as I'm paranoid of doing an incorrect backup and losing important stuff. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this issue?

That's correct; it doesn't matter what WiFi I try to connect to, it seems like something internal got effed.

Try resetting network, go to settings>general management>reset>reset network, will reset Bluetooth and wifi password if don't work go into safe mode

You mentioned "Wifi safe mode" -- do you mean the phone's Safe Mode, or some safe mode related to wi-fi?

I've done this, and had no success; although it did coincidentally erase a bunch of old Bluetooth connections I forgot I had, so there's that.

It's a safe mode related to wi-fi is my understanding; I'm not exactly sure, I saw it as an option in Dev mode so I selected it thinking it might help.

Ok, so try the phone's main Safe Mode to make sure the problem isn't being caused by some 3rd party app: www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

Okay, so I did boot the phone into actual Safe Mode to check, and I'm still having the same issue. Is this maybe due to a misconfigured Raspberry PiHole? It did the exact same thing; "WiFi with exclamation mark" = internet access, "normal WiFi" = site can't be reached.

What wi-fi security are you using? WPA2? WPA3? Although the S21 is new enough that I would assume it works on WPA3, there's still a possibility that there could be compatibility issues on the newer protocol.

I changed wifi settings in my phone, but was unable to find the specific DHCP settings in my modem/router; Netgear C6220

Sh*t... I'd hoped to avoid this step; but, I guess that's the price we pay for relying on modern technology. Thanks for trying to help guys, much appreciated. I'll update if/when this works :/

So quick update: I did factory reset my phone, but I'm still having the same issue re:will not connect to Internet when I connect to WiFi. I'm wondering if I actually broke something in my modem by having my RaspPi set up wrong? I'm gonna ask on another forum about that... I'll keep y'all updated. Thanks.

So, the message on my factory reset phone reads as such:
"Internet may not be available
If you want to connect to this network without internet access, you can connect only this time or you can set your phone to always connect to it even if internet isn't available.
You can change this in Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi . ADVANCED > Switch to mobile date > Network exceptions"
with the options of
Connect only this time
Always connect
Disconnect

Maybe this is my "punishment" for trying to avoid ads on my phone? Lol like "you either get no wifi or you will accept ads, and you will like it!" I dunno haha

Try changing private dns in network & wifi settings to Google or cloudflare. Open settings and search for private dns to find it.

So, update: I factory reset my phone (lost a bunch of pics), but that itself did not solve the problem. Out of desperation, I disconnected my PiHole and completely reset my home network to factory settings; this solved it. Evidently, the problem was NOT in the phone, software, or anything else - it was entirely a network issue. I guess the lesson to be gathered is, before factory resetting your phone, reset your modem to factory settings. Thanks for the help guys.
