As the final weeks of the Season of Go play out in the mobile AR game, Pokemon GO fans are experience another exciting month of events, festivities, and surprises. The August 2022 PoGO calendar has a lot of information to take in and there's something going on for everyone. Fans of PvE Battle Raids can expect some big rotations and returning fan-favorites at both the Legendary and Mega tiers over the comings weeks.

In addition to the upcoming Bug-type themed event, some fans may always want to dedicate some of their time to Battle Raids throughout August. The return of Palkia and Genesect open up some interesting metagame options, but that's just the start. Later in the month Pokemon GO will be bringing Zacian and Zamazenta back to the Legendary rotation. These Pokemon aren't new debuts, but they are still very popular and will likely make August a big month for Battle Raids.

Those Legendary Battle Raids are likely going to encourage a lot of raid pass uses, but the Mega Battle Raids are bringing some excitement this month, as well. In addition to three confirmed Mega Raid bosses, there's also a mystery Mega Raid boss hinted at in the schedule, as well. It's not guaranteed, but this likely means there may be a new Mega debut when August 10 arrives. Players should definitely keep an eye out for updates in the coming week as that rotation approaches.

July 2022 is already underway and, although the early summer's biggest event is over, there's still plenty of excitement happening in Pokemon GO. The mobile AR game is experience a big anniversary event during the July 2022 PoGO celebrations and that's just one small fraction of this month's activities for players to enjoy. The battle raid scene is also experiencing an interesting throwback at the Legendary tier.

Fans of Gen 1 may be excited to see that the July 2022 Legendary and Mega Raid schedule for Pokemon GO is bringing the trio of Kanto birds back into the spotlight. Some players may be sick of catching Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres at this point, but the chance for a shiny encounter is usually enough to get collectors out and active during these throwback Battle Raid months.

The Legendary Battle Raids will bring in Dialga towards the end of the month who, although also not a debut, is at least a bit newer and more exciting to some veteran players than the original trio. As always, there will be a rotation of Mega Raid bosses as well to offer players a chance to grind some Mega Energy this month by battling foes like Charizard X, Gengar, and others.
