Is Target Open or Closed on Labor Day 2022?
Although many businesses shut their doors for Labor Day, Target will not be one of them. With shopping for the upcoming holidays well underway, Target will remain open on Labor Day so people can continue shopping and getting their holiday fix.
With the exception of Christmas Day and Easter Sunday, Target is open every holiday, during their regular business hours. Target even runs sales for special holidays as well. Target will be running its annual end-of-summer sale, the “Summer Send-Off Sale.”
This sale includes 30 percent off shoes for the entire family, 30 percent off women’s dresses, and denim, and 30% off toddler, and kids clothing. However, that’s not all. Target will also have 30 percent off patio items, bedding, and decor, 40 percent off electronics, and grocery deals as well. The grocery deals include, but aren’t limited to, buy one get one 20 percent off “Good-and-Gather” ground beef, 50 percent off buy one get one Hot Dogs, 25 percent off 12-pack sodas, and more.
With sales going on in virtually every aspect of the store, this is the perfect time to get some last-minute end-of-summer party items, as well as a great time to start shopping for the upcoming holidays. Target will continue to be one of the most popular retail chains, and this Labor Day should be no different.
Target hours: Is Target open or closed on Labor Day 2022?
One positive of going to Target this Labor Day is its stores could be emptier. Labor Day is a day that features a lot of barbecues, parties, and end-of-summer activities for the whole family. With that said, Target and other retail stores could certainly be emptier, which makes an easier time for people to shop.
For those with a Target addiction, like myself, Target will surely help you out this Labor Day holiday. With sales on virtually everything in the store, Labor Day is sure to be one of the best days of the year to get some of your shopping done.

What Holidays Does Target Close?
Like most major retailers, Target is closed on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. You will find extended hours around these days to help you get your Target fix. To find specific hours for your store, you can reference Target’s store locator or mobile app.
Target’s Return Policy
Target will accept returns on most unopened items in new condition within 90 days. If you are a Target Red Card holder, you will get an extra 30 days to return nearly all items. While their policy is quite accommodating, there are a few exceptions:
- Electronics and entertainment-related purchases must be returned within 30 days. For items purchased between Nov. 1 and Dec. 25, the 30-day refund period will start on Dec. 26.
- All mobile phones, regardless of brand, must be returned within 14 days.
- All Apple products, except mobile phones, must be returned within 15 days. For items purchased between Nov. 1 and Dec. 25, the 15-day return period will begin on Dec. 26.
Final Take
Even though all Target stores are marked with the iconic red-and-white bull’s-eye, that doesn’t mean that the holiday hours will be the same from one location to the next.
Their in-store services, like CVS Pharmacy, Optical Center and Starbucks also might have different hours then the store itself, so it is best to confirm them in advance before you make a trip.
