Carry-on weight limit for international flightsAs a general rule, all airlines have a weight limit of 7kg for carry-on luggage. A few allow for slightly more, and the standout airlines in this regard are British Airways which lets you take on 23kg (so long as you can put the bag in the overhead lockers unassisted) and United which has no carry-on luggage weight limit. Can a 24 inch luggage be a carryAll carry-on items must meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and may not exceed 22" x 14" x 9". The FAA mandates that all carry-on items fit under a seat or in an enclosed storage compartment.
What if my carryIf your luggage does not fit in the sizer, you might have to pay a checked bag fee along with the gate checking fee and have your bag transferred to the airplane's cargo. Checked luggage is usually measured with a tape measure, to make sure that it's below 62 linear inches (height + width + depth).
