You are able to link your Found account to your Cash App account, and then transfer funds between those two accounts. Keep in mind that you can only have one bank account and one debit card connected to your Cash App account.

If you'd like to receive instant deposits from Cash App to your Found debit card, you can link your card by following these steps:

  1. In Cash App, navigate to the settings page and tap "Linked Banks."

  2. Click the "+ Link Debit Card" option on this page, or tap your existing linked debit card and choose "Replace Card."

Link Cash App with your bank details:

In order for Found to be an option, please ensure you do not have another bank currently linked to your Cash App account. Follow these steps to link your account:

  • In Cash App, navigate to the settings page and tap "Linked Banks."

  • Once in “Banking”, select the “Linked Accounts” option.

  • Click the "+ Link Bank" option on this page, or tap your existing linked debit card and choose "Replace Bank."

  • Search for “Found” in the Bank search function

  • Next, you will be asked to enter your Found username and password to authorize access. Please note that your username is the email used for your Found account.

  • Your Found account should appear as “Found Checking”, listing the last 4 digits of your account number. Click this option.

  • Finally, Cash App will confirm that your account was successfully linked.

Once your account is confirmed in Cash App, you’ll be able to fund your Found account via direct deposits from Cash App.

Link your bank account from your online Square Dashboard or the Square app to have your money transferred instantly, on the same day, or within one to two business days.

Overview

If you have a business with multiple locations, each location can share a single bank account or you can link a unique bank account to each one. You can also link multiple bank accounts to your Square account to disburse your payments balance and more easily switch bank accounts between your locations. Keep in mind that you can only link one bank account per location at this time.

Once you link your bank account, you can start receiving your funds on any one of our transfer schedules. If you already have an account linked, you can change it at any time — so you can receive your funds where you need them.

There are a few things to keep in mind before you get started:

  • You will need to link a United States bank account to process payments using a U.S. Square Account.

  • Square requires a transactional bank account (an account that allows for both transfers and withdrawals) to support refunds or chargebacks. This means prepaid cards or online-only accounts (such as PayPal) aren’t supported at this time.

  • You will need your full routing and bank account numbers to link your bank account.

  • To verify your bank account, Square will transfer and withdraw a small amount. Sometimes this transfer and withdrawal may process simultaneously, so you’ll need at least $1.00 in your bank account before you begin the verification process.

Before you receive your first transfer from Square, you will need to add a verified bank account to your Square account. You can start the verification process right from your Square Dashboard or Square App.

  1. Go to Account & Settings > Business information > Bank Accounts > Add Bank Account in your online Square Dashboard. If you are changing your bank account, select Change Bank Account

  2. Enter the requested bank account information. You can find this information listed at the bottom of your checks, or you can contact your bank to confirm this information.

  3. Click Verify.

Once you have verified multiple external bank accounts to your Square account, you can change the linked bank account for each of your locations. To do so:

  1. From Account & Settings in your online Square Dashboard, click Bank Accounts.

  2. Under All locations, click the linked bank account next to the location in question.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select the verified bank account you want to add to that location. If you do not see the bank account you want to link, select Add external bank account and complete the bank verification process.

  4. Click Update linked account > Done

Note: You can only have one linked bank account per location at this time. If you are changing your bank account, you will need to enter your Square account password and check your email for a confirmation from Square. Click the link within 24 hours to confirm the bank account change. If you don’t click the link in the email to verify you intended to add or change your bank account, the update won’t save and you’ll need to enter your information again.

  1. Open the menu, and tap Settings > Account > Bank Account > Add Bank Account.

  2. Enter the requested bank account information. You can find this information listed at the bottom of your checks, or you can contact your bank to confirm this information.

  3. Click Continue.

Try these steps if you're having trouble linking your bank account.

Edit your bank account from the Square App

  1. Open the menu, and tap Settings > Account > Bank Account.

  2. Tap Change Bank Account.

  3. Enter your Square account password, and select Continue.

  4. Now you can enter your new bank account information. Then, tap Continue.

  5. Tap Done.

Check your email for a confirmation from Square, and make sure to click the link within 24 hours to confirm the bank account change.

The entire verification process can take up to 4 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). Square isn’t able to expedite the process.

Note: Until your new bank account is verified, we’ll continue to send transfers to your currently linked account. If you’d like to unlink your current bank account, contact us. This will allow your transfers to remain in your Square balance until your new account is verified.

If you’re using instant transfers or same-day transfers, make sure you update your linked bank account in your transfer settings to prevent funds from being sent to a previous account.

Receive Transfers from Square POS into Cash App

If you have a Cash App account, you can receive transfers from your Square POS account into your Cash App. You can do this using your Cash App account and routing number.

Note: This option is available for standard transfers only (not instant transfers) and can take up to four business days (excluding weekends and holidays). Square isn’t able to expedite this process.
