Q: What do the bottom of the legs on the Twin XL portion of the set look like? I want to know if "carpet glide" discs can be attached to the bottom of the Twin XL portion of this set so that the bed can be easily moved on carpet. I know that the trundle is on wheels so that part is easy....

A: Yes, most carpet glides will work but if they are too high it may affect the height of the mattress and they will not be at the same level when in the up position.

Q: I'd like to put these mattresses together to make a king size guest bed, which is what the picture seems to show. But since the bottom frame only allows for a regular twin mattress rather than an extra long, can this actually be done?

A: Yes, you can put it together to make a king size bed but the bottom mattress will be about 5" shorter.

I'm looking for a twin XL bed frame that is high enough for (or comes with ) a twin pop up trundle. Believe it or not, I can't find it anywhere. Any suggestions to purchase one or even get one custom made?

Futons: Think of futons as sofas that double as beds. Because their primary function is seating, they need to be a bit firmer to account for more frequent use by multiple people. A futon needs to fold up and down to switch functions, so often the overall sleeping area will be slightly larger than that of a daybed.

Daybeds: Think of daybeds as beds that double as sofas. Their primary function is for sleeping, so they will feature an actual twin-sized (or larger) mattress instead of cushions, and will typically be on the softer side. Daybeds do not fold up and down, so the seating depth will be greater than a futon, but can be easily adjusted by adding pillows as backrests.

Will a twin XL mattress fit a daybed?

Daybed mattresses are most commonly 39 by 75 inches, or the same dimensions as a standard twin size mattress. Some daybed frames use full or double (54 by 75 inches), twin XL (39 by 80 inches), and narrow twin (30 by 75 inches). Daybed frames are compatible with standard mattress sizes, so shopping is straightforward.

What is the point of daybed with trundle?

The average daybed only sleeps one person comfortably. However, a daybed with a trundle can sleep two! A daybed with a trundle is useful if you need a sleep and lounge space as it doubles as a sofa. If you have a studio apartment and want to maximize your living space, a daybed with a trundle may appeal to you.

Can you put a trundle under a daybed?

Use the trundle for extra sleeping space and roll away under the daybed during the day. Fits two Twin mattresses (not included). Designed for extra seating or an extra bed, this platform daybed features a convenient trundle that tucks away when not in use.

How much weight can a pop up trundle hold?

Pop-up trundle beds can be raised to match the height of a traditional bed. Most trundle beds have a 250-pound weight limit and need a mattress that is 10 inches thick or less. This type of bed has extra sleeping space for one to two people.
