The location has a huge impact on people’s safety due to the unique conditions surrounding it, such as the condition of the roads, the likelihood of a mass shooting occurring, or the financial security offered. For this reason, this study analyzed all 50 states across 37 key metrics distributed in 6 categories (Personal Safety, Public Safety, Financial Safety, Mental Health, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Public Safety), to rank the safest states in America. Public Security We evaluated those dimensions using 37 relevant metrics, which are listed below with their corresponding weights. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 being the max.
