1. Dishwasher Will Not Start

Causes: 

• The door may be improperly latched.
• The power for the dishwasher may have been turned off.
• The unit has not been reset, or the previous cycle has not been completed.
• The start delay has been activated.
• Dishwasher not responding to power outage or a blown fuse.
• The door may have been shut without first choosing a cycle.
• There may be no water available to turn on.

Solution:

1. Shut the door all the way.
2. To turn the device on, press the main power switch.
3. To reset, refer to “Cancel a Cycle” in this guide.
4. To reset, refer to “Delay Start” in this guide’s “Wash Cycles and Options” section.
5. Check the circuit breaker to make sure whether it is on or off.
6. Close the door and select a cycle.
7. Check that the water is turned on and that the sink is free of debris.

2. Display Does Not Illuminate

Causes:

• A fuse may have been blown, or a circuit breaker tripped
• Door not closed or latched

Solution:

1. If the circuit is still not working, check the fuse box or circuit breaker box for a blown fuse or resetting the breaker.
2. Make sure the door is latched and shut correctly.

3. Dishwasher Seems To Run a Long Time

Causes:

• The water is not hot enough to bathe in.
• Because of the conditions of the ground and water, cycle time is unpredictable.
• The rinse agent dispenser is empty.

Solution:

Before beginning a cycle, run the hot water tap at the sink closest to the dishwasher. When sensors in the dishwasher detect heavy soil, the cycle time is automatically prolonged to ensure a good wash. Add rinse agent.

4. Dishes Are Not Getting Clean Enough

Causes:

• In some cases, your spray arm may be restricted by an obstruction.
• Spray nozzles got clogged
• Detergents are misused.
• Filters might become clogged.
• Dishes are stacked too closely or nested.
• Food soil cannot be adequately washed in the selected wash cycle.

Solution:

Before starting the washer, make sure hand-rotating spray arms aren’t blocking the spray arm. Then, remove the spray arms and clean them as directed in the “Care and Maintenance” section. Detergent should be increased or decreased depending on water hardness levels. Cleaning any filters is a good idea while they’re still wet.

5. Dishes Are Not Getting Dry Enough

Causes:

• The rinse agent dispenser is empty.
• Dishes were loaded incorrectly
• Drying is not included in the selected cycle.

Note: Due to their qualities, polyethylene or Teflon do not dry as well as other items.

Solution:

Using a rinse agent improves drying. Rearrange the load to make sure objects aren’t nested. Rinse and Hold does not include a drying function. Select models have an extra heating option to enhance drying performance.

6. Odor

Causes:

• Food waste is found at the bottom of the dishwasher.
• Food particles may be found near the door seal.
• When dishes are left in the unit for an extended period before running a cycle.
• The bottom of the dishwasher is wet from residual water.
• A blockage has been detected in the drain hose.

Solution:

1. Remove the filters and rinse them clean.
2. Refer to Care and Maintenance Professionals
3. If you don’t plan on washing the dishes right away, run a Rinse and Hold cycle.
4. Check to see whether the device has completely drained after the previous cycle.
5. By calling a professional, clear any obstructions from the drain line.

7. Dishwasher Not Filling With Water

Causes:

• Water supply system restriction
• The previous wash cycle was not completed
• The delay start is active
• Household water supply turned off

Solution:

1. Check to see whether the water supply valve (typically located beneath the kitchen sink) is open and that the water supply line is free of kinks or obstructions.
2. Refer to the section titled “Operating a Dishwasher.”
3. Cancel the delay start or wait until the time has run out.
4. Turn on the water.

8. Water leaks

Causes:

• Suds
• The track might be separated from the door seal.
• The exhaust vent is clogged.
• Improper installation

Solution:

1. Dishwashing detergent is unsuitable; use only dishwasher detergents. If suds continue, add one tablespoon of vegetable oil to the bottom of the dishwasher and run a cycle.

9. Tub stains

Causes:

Solution:

1. The buildup of hard water stains may be reduced by using concentrated lemon juice. Run the Normal cycle until it finishes, then shut off the machine and place an 8oz. Cup of concentrated lemon solution on the top rack, followed by a complete cycle. This can be done regularly to avoid buildup.
2. When running a cycle, keep silverware away from the tub.

10. Streaks On Glassware Or Residue On The Dishes

Cause:

• Setting the wrong rinse aid

Solution:

Adjust the rinse agent dispenser to match the water hardness. See the section labeled “Adding Detergent and Rinse Aid” in the user’s guide for instructions.

11. Fascia Panel Discolored Or Marked

Cause:

• Abrasive cleaner used

Solution:

Use a soft, damp cloth with mild detergent to clean.

12. Noise During Wash Cycle

Cause:

• Dishes may not be correctly positioned on the dishwasher.

Solution:

The water circulation sound is typical, but if you notice items banging into each other or the spray arms, consult the manual’s “Loading the Dishwasher” section for correct placement.

13. Detergent Dispenser Cover Will Not Shut

Causes:

• Improper operation of the detergent cover
• The previous cycle has not been completed, stopped, or interrupted.
