Unfortunately, the answer is NO. You cannot retrieve blocked messages on your iPhone. After blocking someone, you’ll not be able to receive phone calls and messages from them. iPhones, unlike Android phones, don’t have a blocked folder for data recovery. This is one area in which Apple can improve.

It’s easy to recover deleted messages on your iPhone if you haven't blocked a number. There are two ways to go about it.

Recover Deleted Messages With iCloud Backup

If your device is connected to an iCloud account, then you can recover a deleted message by performing a full restore.

Note that an iCloud backup reverts your phone back to when you still had the deleted messages. You may lose some data and also be required to sign in back to certain apps.

• Open the Settings app.
• Tap your Apple ID Profile at the top.
• Choose iCloud then scroll down to iCloud Backup.
• Check if your iPhone has had a recent backup which was after or before you deleted the text messages on your phone.

If the date goes back to the time you deleted the text message, you are in luck. Proceed to the next step to restore messages using iCloud.

Recover Deleted Text Messages With iTunes Backup

Thanks to iTunes Backup, you can easily restore your deleted messages. If your iPhone syncs to iTunes, it will back up data at all times. This way, you can easily retrieve deleted messages.

• Connect your iPhone to a computer.
• iTunes should pop up automatically but if it doesn’t, open it.
• Click on the iPhone icon which is found at the top of the screen.
• From the menu, select Summary.
• Select to back up your data on This Computer then click on Restore Backup.

Your data will be restored to your computer and you’ll easily find your deleted messages. Do keep in mind that this process deletes all your existing data on the iPhone.
