How to unlock network locked sim card for free

General instructions (will work for most phones):

  1. Turn off your Samsung phone
  2. Insert a non-accepted sim card (different from the original carrier). 
  3. Turn on the phone. 
  4. Slide to unlock and it will ask for the unlock code
  5. Enter the unlock code you obtained from UnlockRiver.com
  6. Your phone is now fully unlocked!

If you enter an non-accepted Sim Card and your phone does not prompt to enter Unlock Code:

Method 1:

  1. Go to the dial screen and press #7465625*638*# 
  2. Once prompted for code, enter 8 digit Unlock Code provided by unlockriver.com.

Method 2:

  1. Turn off your Samsung phone
  2. Insert a non-accepted sim card (different from the original carrier) and turn your phone back on. 
  3. When prompted for the unlock code type the UNFREEZE code provided.  If you are not prompted, go to your dial screen and type the UNFREEZE code, now press enter, send or call. You will receive an unsuccesfull message, don't worry.
  4. Once the phone freeze is disabled, the Network lock or SP Lock screen will appear
  5. For Network lock enter the UNLOCK code provided.  For SP Lock enter the SERVICE PROVIDER code
  6. Your phone is now fully unlocked!

If you get "unsuccessful" again then hit Dismiss button and type *2767*3855# on phone keypad and try this procedure again (CAUTION! This will reformat all your data!).

Method 3:

  1. You can try this method without the sim card or with the original sim card
  2. Type #7465625*638*CODE# (CODE is the Unlock Code we sent you)
  3. Phone deactivated message means its unlocked

Method 4:

  1. You can try this method without the sim card or with the original sim card
  2. Type: #0111*CODE#  (CODE is the Unlock Code we sent you)

How to enter unlock code on Samsung models: SGH-A127, SGH-E840, SGH-F210, SGH-J600, SGH-T749

  1. Turn ON your phone without Sim Card
  2. Type #0111*CODE# (CODE is the Unlock Code I sent you)
  3. Device should say "Network Lock Deactivated"
  4. The phone may reboot and the unlock is completed

How to enter unlock code on Samsung SGH-A877

  1. Insert an Authorized Sim Card and turn ON your phone
  2. Device must be in Portrait mode. Hit the Dial button on the touch screen.
  3. Type #7465625*638*CODE# (CODE is the Unlock Code we sent you)
  4. Device should say: "Network Lock Deactivated"
  5. Phone may automatically reboot

How to enter unlock code on Samsung models: A737, A777, Blackjack SGH-i607, SGH-i616, SGH-i617, SGH-i627, SGH-i637, SGH-A877

  1. Insert an Authorized Sim Card and turn ON your phone
  2. Type  #7465625*638*CODE# (CODE is the Unlock Code we sent you)
  3. Device should say: "Network Lock Deactivated"
  4. Phone may automatically reboot

NOTE: If you are unable to connect to service provider or unable to make outgoing calls or receive messages, this has nothing to do with your phone being locked or not, you need to force the Blackjack to change to GSM mode, this can be done as follows:

  1. Type *#1546792*#
  2. Select Option 3 Network & Call Settings
  3. Select option 5 Network Mode
  4. Select GSM
  5. This should resolve your problem.

How to enter unlock code on Samsung phones from: AT&T / Cingular BlackJack

  1. Insert a non-accepted Sim Card and turn ON your phone
  2. Power on the device. Wait approximately 30 seconds until the Sim Lock application appears (the delay may be longer if the user has already attempted an unlock with the wrong code)
  3. Enter the unlock code in the blank field
  4. Press Ok. If the Unlock Code is incorrect, an error dialog will appear.  After pressing Ok on this dialog, the user has to re-enter the Unlock Code after delays (see above in Device Specific Information). If the Unlock Code is correct, a success dialog will appear.
  5. Press Ok
  6. The device is now unlocked and should continue booting

NOTE: If you are unable to connect to service provider or unable to make outgoing calls or receive messages, this has nothing to do with your phone being locked or unlocked, you need to force the BlackJack to change to GSM mode, this can be done as follows:

  1. Power on your Phone
  2. Type *#1546792*#
  3. Select Option 3 Network & Call Settings
  4. Select option 5 Network Mode
  5. Select GSM

  15. Enter 00000000 (eight zeros), the message will come up Sim lock disabled with a check mark; your phone is now unlocked to use with other carriers.
