How to send a link to your facebook page

Whether you have a business Facebook page for your organization or brand, we’re sure you’ve put a lot of time into curating the perfect selection of photos, nailing your bio, and posting important information about your projects and promotions for your followers.

You’ve created this page to represent you as a business or public figure and the work you do. And when you know how to share a Facebook page link, you can easily double your investment. You can quickly promote this space to a wider audience just by linking to your Facebook content elsewhere. That’s what we call expanding your reach.

In the following sections, we’ll explain the basics of making sure your Facebook page is visible, how to get a Facebook link, and how to quickly blast it to a larger audience. We’ll also leave you with some tips on keeping your content fresh, relatable, and engaging to feel confident sharing it with even more viewers. We’re sure they’re excited to see what you’ve been up to.

I have a Facebook page. Now what?

First things first: Before you push your Facebook page out to the rest of the world, make sure you’ve published it, making it visible to the public. Here’s how:

  1. Open Facebook at https://www.facebook.com or via the Facebook app.
  2. On your News Feed, click Pages, which you can find in the menu on the left-hand side of the page.
  3. Go to the Page you wish to publish (if you have multiple Facebook pages) and click Settings, which you can find on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
  4. From the General section, click Page Visibility.
  5. Select Page Published.
  6. Click Save Changes.

Now, all your fans, followers, or customers can see your page, and you’re ready to share it widely.

You can share links to a wider audience in various ways, and we’ll provide you with some inspiration in the next section. For now, let’s stick to the basics. Here are four steps to accessing Facebook’s sharing option for your page:

  1. Open Facebook at https://www.facebook.com or via the Facebook app.
  2. Enter your Facebook news feed.
  3. Click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right-hand corner.
  4. Select Pages and choose the page you wish to share.
5. Tap on the arrow icon in the upper right corner of the Facebook page to open the sharing options. You’ll see an option to copy the link, so these instructions also double as those for how to copy a Facebook page link.

Get sharing!

Facebook offers you a variety of quick ways to share your page. Here’s what they are and how they work.

  • Via Facebook Messenger: Want to share your page with friends and family in a personalized manner? Send them a message that links directly to your content. The share button makes it easy to send a Facebook profile link in a brief message.
  • In a post: This may seem a bit meta (see what we did there?), but you can share your page with your followers by creating a Facebook post for your timeline on your personal profile. Simply click on Write Post, come up with a fitting caption when prompted by “Say something about this link,” and then hit Post to share.
  • By sharing the link: Copy and paste the Facebook page URL and share it wherever you wish. You can send it to friends on your favorite messaging app or send it out in a marketing email. The sky’s the limit.
  • By sharing to other apps: Once you’ve learned to copy and paste your Facebook link, you can put it anywhere you want. For example, you can feature it in your bio on other social networks like Instagram or LinkedIn, or link to your Facebook page on your company website, inviting your audience to learn more and follow you for updates.
  • With Linktree: With Linktree, you can share multiple links in an easy-to-find location. Make your life a little bit easier for your followers on other social media applications, like Instagram, by sharing a link to your Facebook page in your bio. Simply log in to your Linktree Admin and name your link something users will understand. Be brief but informative; for example: “(Insert your business name here)’s Facebook Page.” Then, copy (if you haven’t done so already) the link to your Facebook page and paste it into the field for a URL. Voila!
