Any soap can be addictive crack. It's silly, it's repetitive, but it can draw you in like no other type of television. The last time I watched Y&R and B&B was in the 90's. At some point, you have to let it go. And although I binged watched this season and have no plans to start watching soaps again, I LOVED it! I was hooked.
I remember back in the day during Y&R when the person who is now Katie Logan Spencer dated Neil on Y&R and she got so much hate mail in real life for interracial dating. Fast forward today, and not only is the character African -American, but transgender! I would have loved to know how social media and the older viewers took that! It was well thought out and followed the same soap formula.
Diamond Bill (who will always be poolboy Brad to me) has been able to flourish here in a way he was never able to on Y&R and I am glad for him. He was able to take the Jack and Victor thing and mash it into his own creation. The person who plays Katie, however, would have been perfect for the role she originated on Y&R and I am sad that she could not continue it because she could do vicious and sweet very well and now she just has to be sweet. It's a waste.
The woman who plays Brooke is the perfect new Matriarch without compromising or lying about who her character was originally.
The new generation? Eh. The story lines are great, but they are so made up you can put anyone in their place so far. The only two characters that look interesting to me is Nicole, because she looks like a real person and Aly (who I read they killed off) because she looked like she would be the perfect nice girl turned psycho. And the guys they only seem hot because we are told they are hot, not because they make you feel anything like Don Diamonte did back in the day.
Very sad that they replaces Ron Moss with this guy as Ridge. I love a raspy voice, but NOT FOR RIDGE, it's distracting! Ron Moss had classic features that you rarely see anymore that made him look like he was born to wealth. This guy does not have that look at all. I don't think "artist" when I look at him..
Although some feel that they were just feeling things out in the VERY beginning, I think that was when they were at their best. The show had a message and was unlike most soaps. However, just like Happy Days and Family Matters, the general public seems to prefer when things are the same, so we had Brooke bed-hopping for far longer than we should have. Since they MUST follow a formula, I will say they are doing it well, Even without Sally, Stephanie, and most of all, Sheila!

I like they added Bold and Beautiful. When i saw they added them on Soap Central i got excited. However, they are episodes from couple years ago. Would have been better to start from the very beginning. Still nice to see them if you’d like but was hoping to see how it all began again.

Love the show but per usual Prime only does thing halfway..this show started 1987..still on air but they advertise this as season 1..these episodes are from 2015 and of course there ate only 101 episodes because they haven't bothered to put on anymore..its my own fault though, I went back on my vow not to watch any TV shows on this site..ill be going back to strictly movies again.

I have tried and tried to get the current season and up to date shows? Am I missing something? I even signed up for CBS All Access and that didn't even help.

The Bold and the Beautiful USED to be the best soap on TV. There were so many captivating storylines... the fight for The BeLieF formula, Ridge pursuing Taylor in St. Thomas, Caroline's death, the genius Sheila crossover from Y&R, etc. Please try to get the episodes from the beginning, so we can relive the best moments on TV once again. Actually, the first 12 years or so would be ideal! After that, it stopped being worthy of the DVR.

This is excellent! I just found out today on Soap Central these episodes were on here! Amazon powers that be-this was a great move! Give it time for the word to spread! Please get more! If you can pull off getting the 40+ years of All My Children and One Life To Live you will have struck gold!! There are MILLIONS of devoted soap fans still upset over these, and other soaps being cancelled! Like we needed more cooking, talk or game shows! Spare me! Keep this up and I will be renewing my annual Prime membership for sure! LOVE the soaps and proud of it!!!
