Roc Nation Announces Signing of Brooklyn Rapper HDBeenDope Along With His Latest Single “Wake Em Up”

Hailing out of New York, HDBeenDope is building a name for himself with his incredible storytelling skills and wide range of talent. Greatly influenced by some of Hip-Hop’s biggest artists such as Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, and J. Cole, HD’s hard-hitting lyricism and creative vision have landed him in a lane all by himself. HD’s 2019 singles “For the Record,” “Rev Run” and “Cayman” have generated millions of streams across all streaming platforms, including nearly 6.2 million views on YouTube alone and over 264,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. One of his biggest singles to date “Byrd,” has accumulated 8.3 million views on Youtube since releasing on April 29, 2019, and amassed over 25 million streams and counting. His hard work has not gone unnoticed either. As of September 8, the Brooklyn MC announced his new record label deal with Roc Nation. “I’m a writer and artist from Brooklyn signed to Hov. Those of you who love hip-hop like I do understand how special that is,” HDBeenDope said. “I’d love to tell you it just happened out of nowhere but the truth is the intent has been consistent through and through. I think they call that serendipity. I’m here for legacy, living …

Behind The Track With 5x Multi-Platinum Producer: Dizzy Banko

In our latest Being The Track feature, I choose to shed some spotlight on Dizzy Banko or also known as ‘DizzYouViolated” from New York. Producers are the glue between an artist and a successful song. Banko has been credited with working with some of hip-hop’s greatest such as Lil Wayne, Offset, Pardi, Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke, Dua Lipa, Dream Doll, and more. In 2021 alone, his work with the late Pop Smoke was nominated at the Billboard Awards for top rap album. Not only did Dizzy have the opportunity to work with heavy hitters in the music industry, but he also works with numerous up-and-coming artists from NYC like Dave East, Lola Brooke, HDBeenDope, Young Devyn, and many more. Dizzy’s hunger and drive have allowed him to create a name for himself among top producers in the game. Since he started his journey at the age of 12 till now, the 5x multi-platinum music producer has been leveling up with each record he creates. With the way his career is evolving, I know Dizzy Banko’s name will be remembered for generations to come. I had the opportunity to learn more about Dizzy last week. Check out his interview below. — …

Best Out – [HDBeenDope]

Brookyln’s illest HDBeenDope returns to Lyrical Lemonade with yet another banger entitled “Best Out.” I’ve always found his artist name fitting, because the statement itself could not be more true. Still somewhat underrated from an audience perspective, new listeners browsing his discovery will internally think to themselves that ‘HD’s been dope,’ as they wonder why they hadn’t tapped in sooner. Accompanied by a chilling visualizer, the artist once more showcases his top-tier multi-faceted flows only belonging to his arsenal. With a clear braggadocious attitude, it’s hard to argue against his claims, considering the immense display of skill and flare from start to finish. Naturally, the amount of work that HD puts in stresses him out at times, which is tradeoff of his sheer consistency from a quality standpoint. Watch the official Erikson Corniel directed visualizer for HDBeenDope’s new song “Best Out” below!

New Year Theme Song – [HDBeenDope]

Already ten days into 2019, you might be struggling for some motivation to follow through on all those resolutions you made. Should that be the case (or even it if it’s not) you need to press play on HDBeenDope’s latest offering, “New Year Theme Song.” Determined to have a breakout year the Lyrical Lemonade Newcomer, comes out of the gate hot with an incendiary offering where he officially lays 2018–and all of its setbacks–to rest. Atop the horn-laden backdrop, HD recounts the adversity he faced last year–including what sounds like with falling out with Atlantic– utilizing a razor sharp flow and some loaded bars to get his authentic message across. Though the New York emcee really pulls back the proverbial curtain, he never compromises his confidence; a testament to his energy, flawless delivery, and, most importantly, his conviction. No word yet on larger plans for HDBeenDope, but if he attacks 2019 with even half as much energy as he did this track, it should be a big year for him.
