Founded in 1975 by Peter Dooney and Frederic Bourke, Dooney & Bourke started off with just colorful surcingle belts and classic suspenders. In 1981, they expanded the brand by including handbags that were later sold at Nordstorms, Brooks Brothers, Saks and their store in Norwalk, Connecticut.
