My girlfriend had a tooth pulled yesterday.

They told her to eat soft foods. not extremey cold or hot. She's sick of yogurt, ice cream, pudding and jello... can you help me think of something that I could make for dinner tonight that will actually fill her up and still be easy for her to eat?

  • Eggs?  Mashed potatos?  Soups?  May depend on what tooth was pulled, I was even told things like grilled cheese & pizza cut up into pieces (cheese pizza, that is) were fine as long as I was comfortable eating it.  Basically, I was told anything that didn't cause discomfort was fine.

  • mashed potatoes were my saving grace after my wisdom teeth came out. lol.

  • Thanks girls! The dentist just called to see how she was doing so I went ahead and asked. He said that normal foods were okay again today. It was tooth 31, a molar, not a wisdom tooth. She just has to rinse with warm salt water after every meal and can't eat things with rice or little "pieces" that can get in the hole.

  • I just had all four of my wisdoms removed and I ate a lot of soup and jello. I thought i was fine enough to eat regular things the third day and then I messed up my mouth! Soft food diets are awful.

I also just had all my wisdom teeth taken out last month. Mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, and just medium temp soup is what I ate for the first couple of days. I hate jello and pudding.

After that I just made sure I ate everything very slowly in very small bites and rinsed with water. The holes are still there, especially where the bottom teeth were so I still need to rinse and gargle to get the food out of there.

When can I eat grilled cheese after wisdom tooth extraction?

It's advised to slowly introduce solid foods into your diet about seven days after your surgery. Wisdom tooth extraction is a simple procedure, but recovery can take some time. Because your mouth is healing, knowing what to eat after wisdom teeth removal is important.

What can I eat on day 3 after wisdom teeth removal?

On day 3 after surgery, eat soft foods that do not require much chewing, such as macaroni and cheese, cooked noodles, soft-boiled /scrambled/ poached eggs and soft sandwiches. Avoid tough or crunchy foods, such as pizza, rice, popcorn, and hamburger. Avoid spicy and acidic foods.

What can I eat on day 4 after wisdom teeth removal?

Generally, you'll want to stick to liquids and soft, mushy foods for 3 to 5 days, including:.
Blended soups (easy to eat, nutrient-rich and hydrating).
Broths (full of essential vitamins and minerals to aid recovery).
Yogurt..
Pudding..
Smoothies..
Potatoes (mashed, sweet or regular).
Apple sauce..
Seedless, pureed fruit..

When can I eat sandwiches after tooth extraction?

Within the first 24 hours after tooth removal surgery, you should avoid consuming anything that involves chewing. Try to limit yourself to liquids exclusively. If they don't fill you up and you want to consume solid food, go for soft meals that don't need much chewing, like pudding or oatmeal.
