Bugatti will give its La Voiture Noire, the world's most expensive new car, its US debut at Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance which begins Tuesday in Monterey, California, according to CNBC. The car — which saw its original debut at the Geneva International Motor Show — has a price tag of $18.7 million. Only one example will be made and sold, and it's the exact car being exhibited. The La Voiture Noire was made in celebration of Bugatti's 100th anniversary and pays homage to the company's history. Founder Ettore Bugatti's son Jean developed four Type 57 SC Atlantic coupes in the 1930s and drove one of his creations, naming it "La Voiture Noire." The modernized and reinterpreted one-off supercar has already been sold to an anonymous male buyer, who agreed to purchase the car before it was even made. The mystery man won't get their hands on it for another two years at least, however. Take a look at the world's most expensive and exclusive new car:

Bugatti spent around 65,000 engineering hours over two years to build up the Chiron it’s based on up to the appropriate level, leaving its 1,479-horsepower 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine under the hood. The car was track-tested, doused with water to ensure a good seal, stretched for a nearly 10-inch-longer wheelbase, and fitted with carbon-fiber exterior panels and bespoke bodywork to complete the transformation. OKOther unique touches include the unbroken LED light strip that runs like a thin French moustache along the car’s rear; the 3D-printed grille; the six pipes out the back; and the headlight clusters containing over 25 individually milled elements. It looks a fair bit like a Batmobile and is priced like something only a Bruce Wayne type could afford. At €11 million (US$13.4 million) before taxes, La Voiture Noire would’ve been the most expensive new car in the world if it weren’t for the recently released Rolls-Royce Boat Tail, a Mediterranean luxury picnic machine allegedly purchased by Jay-Z and Beyonce.
