Quality Assurance (QA) and Utilization Management (UM)

 Bright HealthCare offers QA and UM programs at no extra cost to our Part D members. Designed to ensure the safe and appropriate use of prescription medications covered, these programs help identify potential risks and opportunities to improve your medication therapy.

Out of Network Coverage Rules

 Your Bright HealthCare plan includes coverage for services provided by healthcare professionals outside of our network – including emergency services outside the U.S. But certain rules apply. Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines before contacting an out-of-network provider.

Part D Appeals & Grievances

What is the payer ID for Bright health plan?

Effective 1/1/2022, the new Payer ID for all Bright HealthCare plans (excluding California Medicare Advantage) is BRGHT.

Is Bright health only for Florida?

Bright Health also is ending all its Medicare Advantage plans outside of California and Florida. A spokesman for Bright Health said the insurer will continue to offer Medicare Advantage plans in 11 Florida counties: Broward, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade, Pasco, Volusia, Orange, Seminole, Sarasota. Osceola, Lake and Sumter.

What happened Bright health?

After plan year 2022, Bright HealthCare will no longer offer Individual and Family Plans*, and will also no longer offer Medicare Advantage products outside of California.

Who is bright Health owned by?

The company was founded by Bob Sheehy, the former CEO of United Healthcare, with partners Kyle Rolfing, Tom Valdivia and seed investor Flare Capital Partners, upon raising $81.5 million in venture capital in 2016.
