Replacement A/C Hose lines don’t have to be from the Original Manufacturer!
How To Repair A/C Hose – In the past, it was difficult to find a supplier capable of doing AC hose repairs, but with today’s wide selection of high-quality fittings and hose, your replacement could be right here at ATC. The Air Conditioning System provides the desired cabin temperatures to ensure operator comfort. The AC hose is used to effectively transfer both liquid and gas between the components and should be inspected for leaks and either repaired or replaced ASAP, to ensure the system continues to perform as expected.

Today, many hose sets come with metal tube sections, some of which we offer. If no suitable fitting is available, using a hose to replicate the metal tube is the next best thing.
Our
experience suggests using Aeroquip hose and E-Z Clip may hold an advantage over crimp fittings for replacing metal tubes. Aeroquip EZ Clip & Hose fitting is a simple option for making or repairing Air Conditioning hose lines on heavy-duty trucks, agricultural, construction and other industrial applications. No hydraulic equipment is needed. Rather, a simple, easy-to-use crimping plier enables quick and easy A/C Hose repairs in the field.
Each Aeroquip fitting comes with
2 Clips which slide over the hose and a Cage which locks into the fitting, goes through the cages and is secured with crimper
pliers.
This example shows an OE Hose at the top and using 4 Aeroquip fittings and hose, we can quickly provide a quality solution for your application.
The reduced diameter hose enables tighter turns (but
not right angles) without concern for “kinks” which would compromise the hose and AC system.
AC Hose Repair using Aeroquip EZ Clip Fittings and Hose is a quick solution for the quick turn around needs and mobile technicians. Providing even greater flexibility, when the E-Z Clip fitting is lubricated with a slight amount of refrigerant oil before it’s inserted into the hose, the direction/index of the fitting can be changed by rotating the fitting in the hose. Once the
refrigerant oil used has dried (1-2 hours) the fitting can no longer be turned or re-indexed.

Auto Air Conditioning Recharge & Repair
Get Relief with Ice Cold Air!
Don’t assume the cost of fixing your A/C is going to be excessive. While it’s true that this can sometimes get pricey, it’s also equally true that many times your A/C isn’t cooling for a variety of very simple, very inexpensive reasons.
If you’re driving around in a hot car, especially during the summer in California, stop by and let us take a look. The comfort and peace of mind you get, as you drive your family around in ice cold air, is priceless!

The Advantages of AC Repair and Maintenance
Air Conditioning Maintenance
Most car owners don’t service their air conditioning until after it fails. Maintaining your car or truck air conditioning system means that you always have enough refrigerant to properly do the job. Small leaks in the air conditioning system allow the refrigerant to escape and the system can’t cool the air as well.
Along with the refrigerant, a special oil circulates in the system. The oil lubricates air conditioning components, and keeps the seals resilient. Low refrigerant and lubricating oil means that the air conditioning parts will wear out prematurely, and we all know that air conditioning repairs can sometimes be costly.
Air conditioning service at our shop starts with a visual inspection of the components for signs of damage or leaks. The compressor is driven by a belt from the engine, most often the serpentine belt, so it’s inspected for cracks or wear.
The air conditioning compressor and other components are checked for proper operation by our ASE Certified Service Center Technicians. Then comes the leak test. If a leak is detected, often in a hose or connection, it’s repaired and the system is retested. Our mechanics will also perform a temperature drop test.
Air Conditioning Service & Repair
It is recommended that modern A/C systems be tested annually to assure peak performance. Schedule an appointment with one of our factory trained professionals and let us make sure your A/C system is running efficiently.
At Automotive Excellence, we have the equipment available to diagnose the latest computerized components.
Below is a brief explanation of the major components that make these A/C systems work so well:
Compressor:
The compressor is a belt-driven device that compresses refrigerant gas and transfers it into the condenser. The compressor is the core of your vehicle’s air conditioning system.
Condenser:
The condenser’s primary function is to cool the
refrigerant. The condenser dissipates heat released by compressed gases and condenses them into high pressure liquids.
Receiver (Drier):
The receiver is a metal container that serves as a storage receptacle for the refrigerant, also known as a drier because it absorbs moisture from the refrigerant and filters out harmful debris and acids. You should change your drier every 3-4 years to ensure quality filtration and prevent any chemical damage.
Orifice
Tube/Expansion Valve:
The orifice tube (also known as the expansion valve) is a controlling mechanism that regulates refrigerant flow throughout the system. It also converts high pressure liquid refrigerant (from the condenser) into low pressure liquid, so that it can enter the evaporator.
Evaporator:
The evaporator removes heat from the inside of your vehicle. The evaporator allows the refrigerant to absorb heat, causing it to boil and change into a vapor.
When this occurs, the vapor leaves the evaporator through the compressor, cooling your car and reducing humidity. The evaporator houses the most refrigerant in the heat transfer process and harmful acids can corrode it. This corrosion typically damages the evaporator beyond repair.
