Jul 26, 2021 Just curious, no rush. But I'm interested in gaining 2-4 extra whp (for 10-12 whp total) with a modest 150-160cc kit, whenever they become available. Well, these were already shipping in Asia for a while, yes? Maybe there's something already, but I wouldn't even know where to look.

It may never happen, at least in the capacity of prior models. When Honda changed the bore and stroke, the cylinder studs got substantially closer together, limiting what can be done in terms of big bores... Joined May 25, 2013 · 73 Posts

Jul 26, 2021 When they do things like that, sometimes it means they don't want to compete with themselves, I wonder if a hopped up Grom is forthcoming from Honda. 2020 Honda Monkey

Can we get a clutch cover with water pump, a water cooled head, and a small snail then? Joined May 25, 2013 · 73 Posts
Discussion Starter · #5 · Jul 26, 2021 I was only hoping for something modest like 150 or 155, easy small gains of a couple whp. What were the biggest bore kits previously? I see 170, 183, 186, 200, and 235 with a quick search. Joined Mar 22, 2021 · 85 Posts
I wish it looked more promising. Aftermarket intakes show gains of only 1/4 to 1/2 HP. That's less than on the SF. Maybe an ECU reflash, cam change, and hi comp piston may yield better results, since the engine is probably really leaned out for emissions. That gearing is definitely making them slightly faster in the 0-45 run. Joined May 25, 2013 · 73 Posts
Discussion Starter · #7 · Jul 27, 2021 Well my plan was to let things develop for a year before jumping into modding. I wouldn't want to touch anything if there's not a clear path to a solid +2.0 whp. Joined Aug 16, 2020 · 253 Posts

Longer stroke, I wonder if it will limit RPMs. Didn't somebody say the bore to stroke ratio was unfavorable already for higher rpm? Like Honda is trying to make the bikes unmodifiable. Joined Mar 22, 2021 · 85 Posts

We've got confirmation from Kitaco and Takegawa that they are working BBK, Cranks, Cams, Piston, and much much more for the New Gen 3 Grom RR.

installed on the sp. just waiting the on 60% springs How can I make my Honda Grom 2022 faster? The first thing you want to do is enable your engine to breathe a little better, so we'll start with the exhaust. Swapping the stock exhaust for a full system aftermarket exhaust will not only increase engine performance, but it'll drop a good bit of weight from your Grom as well (more on weight reduction in a minute).
How much horsepower does a 2022 Honda Grom have?2022 Honda Grom Specifications. What is the difference between the 2022 and 2023 Honda Grom? They are identical. The only changes to the 2023 Honda Grom 125 for the USA are colors and pricing. We are losing the Queen Bee Yellow and Candy Blue colors for the Grom from 2022 and they are being replaced with Force Silver Metallic and Cherry Red for the 2023 Grom.
How many miles per gallon does a 2022 Grom get? This mini motorcycle does a fantastic job at sipping from its 1.6-gallon fuel tank. The Grom has a mind-boggling 166.5 mpg, but real-world results do vary. Motorcyclist Editor Adam Waheed averaged “only” 98 mpg when he tested the 2022 model. One reader tallied 134 mpg.
