What is the camshaft position sensor Bank 2?

The CMP sensor measures the exact rotational position and speed and position of the camshaft. The data that the CMP gathers is important because it's used by the ECM to control the ignition spark and the fuel injector timing.

How many camshaft position sensors are in a 2006 Nissan Maxima?

The Maxima has 2 of them; the right and the left one. Both are on the right side of the engine. Locate them before you start working on them.

Where is the second camshaft position sensor located?

The Camshaft Position sensor is typically located in the cylinder head of the engine and has a cylindrical portion that inserts into the head. The Crankshaft Position sensor is normally located in the timing cover or on the side of the block with a cylindrical portion that inserts into the block.

Is camshaft sensor B intake or exhaust?

The camshaft position sensor notes the rate at which the camshaft is spinning, and helps the car's computer control things like fuel injection and engine timing. Note that the “B” means that this sensor is located in the exhaust side of the cylinder head.
